Welcome to KAMATH.COM, a personal web site of Manohar Kamath. The main purpose of this site is to promote various Internet technologies, especially the latest Active Server technology from Microsoft. The current focus of the site is inform people about various server-side web development technologies including ASP, Java, SQL Server, etc.

Evolution of Kamath.com

This site started out as a mere personal site, for my own use. It was way back in August 97 that www.teklink.com offered free ASP web space. I started with a few pages, mostly for testing out my ASP scripts.

Later, when I began designing my own ASP components, I used this site as an "showcase" for those components. Gradually, I began promoting the use of Active Server technology, and thus began the quest for a better, more informative site. I began writing articles on ASP, and this site was a perfect place to put them.

I got the domain KAMATH.COM at the beginning of 1998, and I got this space sometime late Feb 98. I have been refining this site and hopefully it will serve its purpose well.

I would like to thank everyone who has given me suggestions, comments and ideas in designing this site. A few of those people - Kevin Kraus, Colin Young, Aaron Bertrand, Chris Hoyt, Jeff Wickersham.
